Olympics: Super Falcons Will Bounce Back From Brazil Defeat – Enoh

Idongesit Udoewah

Nigeria's sports minister, John Enoh, believes the Super Falcons will bounce back after their setback to Brazil.

Randy Waldrum's team began their 2024 Olympic Games campaign with a 1-0 loss to the Samba Girls on Thursday night at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium in Bordeaux.

Gabi Nunes scored the winning goal for Brazil eight minutes before halftime.

Despite the defeat, Enoh believes the Super Falcons will advance further in the women's football tournament.

“Our hopes for this team is high. I leave here with strong hope that the Super Falcons can still qualify,” Enoh said after the game.

The Super Falcons will face world champions Spain in their next match on Sunday.
