Da Silva, Nora , Udoetuk Wins Rainoil Grandslam Tennis Tournament

In the team event, Rainoil Station defeated Rainoil Logistics to win the week-long competition, which ended on Saturday.

As the top-ranked player on the board's ladder, Destiny Da Silva defeated section chairman and third-ranked player Akeem Mustafa, to win the Men's Singles A at the 2023 Rainoil Grandslam Tennis Tournament on Saturday, solidifying his position as the best player in the Ikoyi Club.

“It was a great feeling to go into the yuletide with another title. Its been a week of fun and everyone is delighted,” he said.

In the Men's B final, Peter Udoetuk triumphed against Azubuike Okonkwo, and in the Women's B final, Nora Azubuike defeated Ejehi Effiong.

Tennis pro and administrator Godwin Kienka defeated Edet Akpaso to take the Veteran title, and Innocent Ihebuzor triumphed over Walter Jibunor to win the Super Veteran class.

In the team event, Rainoil Station defeated Rainoil Logistics to win the week-long competition, which ended on Saturday.

Chairman of the Ikoyi Club Tafa Zibiri-Aliu praised Rainoil for their dedication to the competition, pointing out that it has become a household tennis event.

Godwin Ogbechie, the managing director and chief executive officer of Rainoil Limited, expressed his happiness at the degree of friendship and camaraderie on show and promised that the sponsor will keep improving the packages in future editions.

“As a company, Rainoil Limited is always passionate about tennis and we are proud to be putting our money where our passion is; and to this end we look forward to the next edition which I believe will be bigger,” Ogbechie said.
