Chelsea Players ‘Love’ Pochettino and Must Fight For Him - Palmer

Idongesit Udoewah

Cole Palmer claims that despite Mauricio Pochettino's pressure, Chelsea players "love" him and will fight for him as they look to qualify for Europe following a patchy season.

During the first season of the Argentine boss at Stamford Bridge, there has been constant discussion about his future.

However, the Blues, who placed a dismal 12th in the last campaign, only need a point on Sunday to secure sixth place against Bournemouth at home on the final day of the campaign.

That means they might qualify for either the Europa League or the UEFA Conference League, depending on the circumstances.

The 22-year-old England international stated that they were 13th and 12th this season. Last season was the same, so returning to Europe is a positive step forward.

Palmer has now scored 22 league goals this season, matching Chelsea's all-time record scorer Frank Lampard's single Premier League season high.
