We Won't Allow you Rig Election 2024, We Will Win- Mahama

You’ve Sent NPP Persons to the EC but NDC Will Defeat NPP Like Azumah Did to Fenech – Mahama to Akufo-Addo

Former President John Dramani Mahama has said theNational Democratic Congress (NDC) will defeat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections just like how the legendary Ghanaian boxer, Azumah Nelson conquered Jeff Fenech in the year 1992.

Azumah Nelson informed the media prior to that fight that he would be the match's own referee, according to Mr. Mahama.

In order to knock out his opponent, that referee was determined to put on an amazing performance, which he did.

Mr. Mahama said the NDC is approaching the 2024 elections with its own objective, which is to put up a strong performance to win the votes that will make it difficult for anyone to change, in a speech to NDC delegates as part of his campaign to be chosen as the party's flagbearer before the election.

He accused the President of deliberately planting his party members at the EC in order to rig the 2024 general elections.

He said “we want the 2024 general elections to be free and fair, we in NDC won’t rig it and we won’t also allow anyone to rig it.

“If the elections are free and fair the NDC will win by the grace of God.”

He added “The NPP are afraid and so they are placing their party members at the Electoral Commission. If you look at the recent appointments that were made to the EC they are NPP people complete.”

The 2020 presidential candidate for the NDC added “For those of us who are a bit older, we all remember the bout between Azumah Nelson and Jeff Fenech.

“When Azumah was asked about the fight he said he was going into the fight with his own referee, that is to knock out Jeff Fenech and that was what he did.

“We are also going into the elections with our own referee to put up a performance and win the elections convincingly to make it difficult for anyone to attempt to rig,” he said.
