The Greater Accra Vetting Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indefinitely rescheduled the vetting of parliamentary aspirants for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

No reason has been given for this decision.

Jerry Johnson, the party's communications officer for the Greater Accra region, however, stated that by the end of Wednesday, April 5, all other candidates running for seats in the region will have been screened.

Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Committee members had previously told Christian Yalley of TV3 that they were awaiting directions from the National Executive Committee (NEC) on their next course of action.

The candidates for the May 13 primary elections for that constituency are Moses Barfi Acheampong, Fred Nuamah, and Jonn Dumelo, who carried the party's banner in 2020.

Following the vetting that started on April 3 across the nation, several candidates who chose to submit nomination forms have already been disqualified.

Those who were disqualified have been asked to appeal the rulings if they would like to.
