He had challenged the victory of Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/Tofa Federal House of Representatives Election held on March 25, 2023.

The three-man Panel of Judges dismissed the petition on grounds of lacking merit. They emphasized that the petitioner had failed to provide adequate evidence to substantiate the allegations made during the conduct of the elections.

In light of this decision, the Tribunal imposed a fine of N200,000 against the petitioner, to be paid individually to the respondents.
