Seyi Tinubu has encouraged celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, to remain hopeful following his unsuccessful bid for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The APC primary election took place on Saturday as part of the party’s preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.

Okechukwu, who is the Imo State coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had contested for the House of Representatives ticket under the ruling party after purchasing his expression of interest and nomination forms.

He said that his ambition was driven by youth empowerment, grassroots development and the need to encourage greater political participation among young people in the constituency.

However, he lost the party primary.

Reacting via his Instagram story on Sunday, Tinubu, the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, urged him to stay positive, stating that setbacks could open doors to bigger victories.

“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.
