PDP Wins Enugu East LGA Chairmanship Election

Defeating its closest opponent, Ozor of the Labour Party who scored 9,848 votes.

Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Enugu East Council Area, won the chairmanship election in the state on Saturday.

Nelson Ossai, the election’s returning officer, revealed the winner on Sunday, September 22, 2024. The PDP candidate won with 116,690 votes. His political rivalry with Ozor of the Labour Party (LP) scored 9,848 votes.

Similarly, the All-Progressives Grand Alliance came 3rd with 3,839 votes.

The other political parties are the Action Peoples Party (APP) with 2,224 votes, Action Alliance (AA) with 2,072 votes, New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) with 650 votes, Accord with 511 votes, and Allied People’s Movement (APM) with 327 votes.
