The PDP has affirmed its intention to seek redress at the Court of Appeal.
In a statement released on Friday, Mr. Alberah Catoh, the Publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, conveyed the party's decision. According to Catoh, a thorough review by the PDP's legal team has indicated that the judgment did not align with the requirements of substantive justice.
This response from the PDP came shortly after the tribunal, sitting in Kaduna, upheld the election victory of Governor Uba Sani.
Catoh went on to argue that the tribunal's verdict did not conform to existing electoral laws, guidelines, and regulations. In light of this, the PDP has taken steps to direct its legal team to file an appeal against the judgment at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, adhering to the specified legal timeframe.
Additionally, Catoh called upon the PDP's loyal supporters across the state to remain calm and optimistic. He assured them that despite the seemingly slow journey to justice, they would ultimately reach their desired destination.
