This statement came as the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, criticized Atiku for questioning Tinubu's academic records, despite evidence from Chicago State University, CSU, confirming Tinubu's attendance and graduation from the institution.
Atiku made these remarks during a World Press Conference in Abuja, where he had received President Tinubu's academic records from the university. He also disclosed that, following the presidential poll on February 25, 2023, he denied entry to the President's emissaries who had come to his residence, which included a delegation led by APC governors, presumably to discuss the election outcome. Atiku stated, "I did not allow them in."
He further asserted that he had no fear of his business interests being targeted due to his legal challenge against the President's electoral victory. Atiku mentioned that he had already lost his logistics business, which had significant government involvement when President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power in 2015.
He said: “As soon as Buhari came, all our logistics contracts business were revoked till today. I’m not afraid of my businesses being affected, I’m not doing any government business. I will only leave this fight when the court rules. We are at the Supreme Court.”
The ex-Vice President clarified he embarked on the journey to uncover the various controversies about President Bola Tinubu's identity and credentials which he believes this ties into bigger issues concerning the future of our country's elective government and legitimate leadership.
He emphasized that political leadership and active citizenship are crucial, as they are how we collectively strive to create a country that benefits everyone living in it.
