Ododo Sworn in as New Governor of Kogi State 

Says he will give accelerated development to the state and carry along every segment of the state.

 Jubilation in Kogi as Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has been sworn in as the fifth executive Governor of the State

Ododo was sworn in by the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre.

The Governor administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance at exactly 2:27pm after his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo who had earlier taken his turn at 2:18pm amidst cheers from a mammoth crowd of personalities and well wishers.

The Vice President, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, who represented President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, witnessed the ceremony.

The new governor promised to give accelerated development to the state and carry along every segment of the state .

He also promised to continue with the legacy left by the immediate past governor Yahaya Bello and said he would be upright and rule with the fear of God.

Highlights of the Inauguration was the taking of his first salute, review of parade by Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as Governor of the State.

The former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello also handed over officially to the new Governor at the colorful ceremony.
