NDC Sets Date For Presidential Primaries

The 13th of May 2023 has been set aside by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the presidential and parliamentary primaries.

On January 18, 2023, the NDC General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, made the announcement at the Accra headquarters of the party.

The party states that parliamentary candidates must choose a form at a cost of GH $5,000 and pay a nonrefundable filing fee of GH 40,000.

Forms for presidential candidates cost GH30,000.00, and a filing fee of GH500,000.00 is not refundable.

The filing fee for females and persons with disabilities has been halved.

Submission of forms and filing is slated for the 20th to 22nd of March 2023.

Vetting is also scheduled to happen between March 27th to March 29th, 2023.

Meanwhile, appeals are scheduled for 30th March to 6th April, 2023.
