The former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, on Sunday reaffirmed the oneness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that all members of the party must respect and follow judicial decisions.

As a member of the Ekiti delegation, Fayose stated that the group was fully represented and remained dedicated to following the party's direction.

He gave his address on Sunday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium during the PDP national convention.

The former governor said, “Yes, we delegates from Ekiti are here, and we are 88. There is only one PDP. Once we have the pronouncement of the court, we must abide by it. Sometimes we demean the judiciary by ourselves. We can appeal a judgement."

He also acknowledged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as a leading party figure, citing his past achievements as the reason for his leadership role.

“Nyesom Wike is the national leader of our party (PDP), and we made him so because of his contributions. He leads, and we follow,” Fayose affirmed.
