Philip Shaibu, the reinstated deputy governor of Edo State, has vowed to remain in office until the November 11 governorship election is conducted.

Shaibu declared that he would resume his duties as Edo State's deputy governor today, following a reaffirmation of his status by Abuja Federal High Court.

He made a statement while featuring on the Arise Television Morning Show.

The embattled deputy governor accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of denying to pay him his due wages.

Shaibu accused Obaseki of refusing to pay him for the last one year despite being an elected deputy governor.

According to Shaibu “I’m a law abiding citizen and I will go to the office this morning, if they want to stop me, they should.

“I will not do anything that would lead to the loss of life. I have been maintaining peace, the office of the deputy governor must be given it’s rightful respect.

“I will resume in the office and face my work, if he allows me to see him, I will and if not; I will face my work.”
