The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has confirmed Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan as the duly elected candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election held earlier the month of February.

The appeal filed by Abubakar Ohere was dismissed by the court for lack of merit.

Earlier in September, the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal in Lokoja overturned Ohere's victory in the Kogi Central Senatorial Election.

The court therefore declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the legitimate winner of the February senatorial election.

However, Ohere went to the appellate court to seek redress, but the court upheld Akpoti-Uduagan as the winner of the poll.
