The Coalition of 2023 House of Representatives Candidates of All Progressives Congress ask President Bola Tinubu to consider some of its members who lost to the opposition in the last election for appointment in his administration.

The request was made by Chisom Promise Dike, Chairman of the coalition, when he addressed newsmen in Abuja on Friday, June 16.

He said, “We appeal to Mr. President to capture the interest of the House of Rep candidates that couldn’t make it through during the election but are ready to contribute their expertise to the successes of his administration through government patronage.

We are a congregation of APC candidates who stood for Election but were not declared elected Members of the Green Chambers by INEC. We however seek support of the party leadership to support many of the APC candidates currently in tribunals to reclaim their stolen mandates,” Dike stated.

Also, the lawmaker from Rivers State, while addressing newsmen hinted that it will be unfair for the ruling party and the president to ignore them after working so hard for their victories.

He said, “We gave our support during and after the election. But the APC as a party has withdrawn from supporting the candidates who lost in states. But we as candidates are not here to bicker.

“We believe as a party person, he will look into this problem and see how to bridge the gap to ensure everybody is carried along. That is the essence of this press conference because we know even the ruling party and the president may not be aware of our plight,” he said.

Similarly, the coalition chair appealed to the masses to be patient with the president Tinubu, noting he has started his governance on an impressive note.

He equally added that the task of nation-building requires careful planning, consultation, and deliberate action.
