Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity stated on Monday April 10th, during media interview, emphasized on the achievements and birthright of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
However, he stated that in 2017 the president was flown to the United Kingdom for treatment and he spent over eight months there receiving medical attention.
Adesina was asked on if the president’s health issue in 2017 was a challenge and he said, it should be because he fell sick in January 2017, came back to the country in March and finally went back in April and didn’t return till August 19th, 2017, respectively.
Stating, that the sickness took over eight months of his time in the office. Adesina added that nobody would like that. But they’re glad he came back sound and better than he went.
The presidential spokesman also commented on the criticism of his principal by Matthew Kukah, Catholic Bishops of Sokoto.
Saying the criticism by the clergy doesn’t say good of him. Noting that they had always admired his intellectual bent but his opinions have been colored by politics.
“He talked about selling the presidential fleet. Was that ever promised? In 2015, there were promises made that even the candidate did not know about.”
