Tinubu Commends Jonathan on Winning Sunhak Peace Prize

Former President Jonathan Recognized for Peace and Democracy Efforts

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to former President Goodluck Jonathan on receiving the 2025 Sunhak Peace Founders’ Award.

In a statement, Tinubu praised Jonathan's unwavering advocacy for peace and democracy, noting that these efforts have earned him international recognition.

The President highlighted Jonathan's pivotal role in bolstering Nigeria's democratic standing through his peaceful transfer of power in 2015.

Tinubu also commended the Sunhak Peace Prize Committee for acknowledging individuals who contribute significantly to global peace and development.

The Sunhak Peace Prize, established in 2015, is awarded biennially to recognize achievements in sustainable human development, conflict resolution, and environmental conservation. Jonathan's award will be presented by the Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation in Seoul, South Korea.
