Nigerian musician Darlington Okoye, widely known as Speed Darlington, has been arrested by police in Owerri, Imo State.

The arrest was confirmed by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, who posted on his X account on Wednesday morning.

Adeyanju stated that Speed Darlington was apprehended while performing at a show shortly after returning to Nigeria. The reasons behind his arrest remain unclear at this time.

This incident follows a previous arrest on October 4, when Speed Darlington was detained for allegedly cyberstalking fellow musician Burna Boy. He was released on bail five days later.
