Prof Kingsley Moghalu, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and his wife, Maryanne Moghalu, were trapped in a faulty elevator on Monday.

Maryanne Moghalu on Tuesday disclosed this in a post with the videos of the incident that happened abroad on X, formerly known as Twitter.

According to Mrs Moghalu, in the post shared, the elevator stopped in between floors, but the details of the location were not revealed.

She announced that she and her husband, who was a former presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the 2019 elections, were trapped in the elevator for 30 minutes before they were rescued.

“@MoghaluKingsley and I were stuck in an elevator for over 30 minutes! The elevator stopped in between floors. I thank God it ended well,” she tweeted.

“This is why you don’t leave home without praying. Ps 91. Never know what is waiting around the corner. Glory to God!”
