On Monday, April 7, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, received members of the suspended Rivers State House of Assembly.

Wike entertained the lawmakers in the United Kingdom at a dinner.

Lere Olayinka, spokesman to the minister, noted that the lawmakers were entertained during their stay in the UK for a Legislative Capacity Building Course.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Olayinka stated that the minister left Nigeria on Sunday night to host the meeting.
