VP Shettima Arrives in Sweden for a Two-day Visit

Nigeria's Vice President, Kashim Shettima Mustapha, has arrived in Sweden for a two-day working visit targeted to enhance trade and mutual relations between both countries.

VP Shettima travelled with Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and some stakeholders of government agencies and parastatals.

This was announced on Thursday, October 17, 2024, by Stanley Nkwocha, Vice President Shettima’s spokesman.

The statement noted that “the visit, which is at the command of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will see the Vice President participate in high-level talks with prominent government personnel. VP Shettima is also scheduled to meet with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and the Swedish Prime Minister.

“Targeted areas of enhanced partnership between Nigeria and Sweden that will be pursued by the Vice President include ICT, digitalisation, education, green transportation, farming, and mining.”

VP Shettima is expected to return to Nigeria on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
