VeryDarkMan Issues Apology for Wearing Police Uniform

Gbadamosi Azeezah

Social media critic and activist VeryDarkMan, has publicly apologized to the Nigeria Police Force after facing backlash for wearing a police uniform in a recent video.

The incident drew condemnation from the police and prompted an investigation into his unauthorized use of the uniform.

In the controversial video, VeryDarkMan humorously introduced himself as a “Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) of the Online Division,” which led to significant criticism.

Responding to the uproar, he released an apology video on Thursday, expressing regret for donning attire that resembled official police gear.

In his apology, VeryDarkMan emphasized the importance of seeking proper authorization before wearing police uniforms to prevent misunderstandings or legal issues.

He stated, “I didn’t intend to impersonate the police in any way, and I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria Police Force and the office of the Inspector General of Police.”

He also urged the public to obtain permission from law enforcement agencies when considering wearing uniforms that may be misconstrued as official attire.

“You might want to use it for good but there are others that might want to use it for bad,” he warned, highlighting the potential consequences of such actions.
