The remains of Caleb Chiemele, a tenant, have been recovered from a short-let apartment in the LSDPC Estate, off Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.

According to reports, Chiemele had been staying in the apartment since May 12. On June 12, he did not emerge from his apartment, prompting concern from some individuals, including the apartment owner, Adewole Olufemi. Curious about Chiemele's condition, they peeped through his window and saw him lying motionless on the floor.

Realizing that Chiemele was unresponsive, they alerted the police. Officers from the Maroko Division arrived, forced the door open, and confirmed that Chiemele had died.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the corpse was discovered around 8 p.m. on June 12. The body has since been evacuated and deposited in the morgue.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation had begun to determine the cause of Chiemele’s death.
