Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Monday, March 18, visited the troubled Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state to assess the extent of the destruction four days after the killings of military officers in the community.

The military Joint Task Force, JTF, however, prohibited newsmen from covering the governor’s evaluation tour of the troubled community.

The JTF operatives obstructed the main entrance to Okuama with a bulletproof personnel carrier tank, thus restricting vehicular and human traffic, including Journalists, from gaining access to the community.

However, Governor Oborevwori was welcomed by Major General Jamaal Abdulsalam, leader of the military JTF, General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army.

They attended a closed-door meeting that lasted for over one hour.
