A heavily pregnant woman has died following a fight with her neighbor in Ugep town, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.

Journalist Agba Jalingo confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Friday, July 26, 2024.

"The deceased woman’s child was said to have picked a fight with a neighbor’s child, which later escalated into a physical altercation between the deceased and her neighbor," Jalingo wrote.

"The deceased, who was heavily pregnant, lost her life in the process. It is not clear if the police have intervened".
