Police Rescues One-chance Victim in Lagos, Arrest Syndicates

The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested two people, who belong to a gang that specializes in robbing passengers caught unaware.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed its arrest on his verified Twitter account on Thursday.

Hundeyin identified the suspects as Folashade Sholagbe, 36, a female and Seun Oke, 29, male.

He said that after their victim raised an alarm, the suspects were arrested on Thursday at Ikeja area, Lagos state.

“Eagle-eyed officers of Iju Division arrested the suspects following their victim’s scream for help,” he said.

According to the image-maker, all of the syndicates used a Corolla in their attempt to pick up unsuspecting passengers with intent to rob them. He said, “The suspects specialised in picking their victims from 7up by Toll gate.”
