The Nigeria Police Force has arrested Linus Williams, the Chief Executive Officer of Blord Group of Companies, over allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The arrest was made by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), also known as NPF-NCCC, following complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology, all owned by Williams.

In a press release, Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that the police will conduct thorough investigations to ensure the safety and security of Nigeria's cyberspace.

The FPRO also refuted claims that the arrest was a result of Martin Otse, aka Verydarkman's, petition.

The police have assured the public that they are committed to achieving a safe and secure cyberspace in Nigeria.
