The Trade Union Congress (TUC) Chairman in Osun State, Mr. Abimbola Fasasi, has revealed that a formal agreement on implementing the newly approved N75,000 minimum wage is yet to be signed.

Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier approved the new wage for state workers, but Fasasi noted that the negotiation committee is finalizing discussions on consequential adjustments.

Speaking in an interview on Sunday, he assured that the formal agreement, including the implementation date, would likely be signed between Monday and Tuesday, ahead of the national labour movement's December 1 deadline.

Fasasi expressed optimism about meeting the deadline, stating, "We are confident that every necessary action will be completed before December 1. The table agreed upon will make every worker in the state proud."

On the possibility of adhering to a national strike directive if the deadline is not met, Fasasi affirmed that Osun workers remain aligned with the national labour movement but reiterated confidence in avoiding such scenarios.
