The administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is currently providing funding to approximately 98 microprojects located throughout the state according to the Osun State Community and Social Development Agency.
Aderonke Abokede, the general manager of the agency, made the announcement on Wednesday at the opening of a community primary school in Dagbolu, Osun State
Abokede went on to say that five of the 98 projects have been completed, including a fence and gatehouse for the school as well as boreholes and improved ventilated pit toilets
Abokede praised Adeleke for his dedication to enhancing the host communities' fundamental social and economic conditions and urged them to take care of the government's buildings and other amenities.
She said, “Education is the key to eliminating inequality and reduction of poverty; hence the implementation of this project in this Community Primary School, here in Dagbolu to provide a conducive place for teaching and learning.
“This commissioning is only possible because of the funding provided by the Executive Governor of the State Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. 98 micro-projects have been funded across the state out of which 5 micro projects are in this school.”
In his speech, Adeleke, who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, said the project was proof of his administration’s commitment to the implementation of inclusive education.
