Osun Govt Approves Procurement Bill Amendment

The Osun State Government Executive Council has approved an amendment to the Procurement Bill aimed at enhancing transparency and closing loopholes in the state's procurement process.

In a statement on Wednesday, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, announced that the Council, chaired by Governor Ademola Adeleke, approved the amendments. Governor Adeleke has since forwarded the bill to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun, for legislative review.

The Council also discussed preparations for the government’s second anniversary and commended several ministries for their sectoral performance, while issuing directives to strengthen public engagement.
