The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, is facing criticism from his colleagues for reportedly endorsing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the state's governorship election.

Thirteen out of twenty-six Assembly members have disavowed him, claiming he endorsed the governor without consulting them.

The members allege that Oladiji's public endorsement does not reflect the House's collective decision-making process and democratic principles.

In response, they have issued a vote of no-confidence in Oladiji's leadership, emphasizing their commitment to transparent decision-making in the interest of the people.

Meanwhile, Oladiji has yet to respond to the lawmakers' objections.
