The Ondo State House of Assembly has cautioned against violating the resolutions arising from President Bola Tinubu's meeting with the House and stakeholders concerning the ongoing political crisis. 

After Tuesday's plenary, Speaker Olamide Oladiji disclosed that in line with the meeting's resolutions, Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was instructed to submit an undated resignation letter to the President. Oladiji, reading the resolutions, emphasized the need for compliance stating, "All parties shall embrace peace...status quo be maintained...all impeachment proceedings be terminated...and all court cases withdrawn."

He further conveyed that there would be no dissolution of the State Executive Council, and structures, including the party leadership and the House of Assembly leadership, would remain intact. 

Noting that they acted within the mandate of their constituents, the Speaker defended the Assembly's actions, asserting, "We asked questions when there was cause for us to do." Additionally, during the session, 51 members of the Interim Caretaker Committee were approved.

Despite attempts to contact Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa, there was no response, and a political associate expressed dissatisfaction, stating, "The status quo they are talking about is for the deputy governor to be acting as the governor...Let’s see what happens next."
