The recent incident at the Osun State Council meeting of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has been condemned by the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE.

This is also in light of the fact that it denounced the assault on Modupe Oyedele, the interim chairperson of the Osun State NLC.

The leadership of the power workers union issued a warning against a repeat of the attack on Tuesday through a statement from its Vice President for the West, Sadiq Adewale.

Adewale pointed out that it went against the union's principles.

Additionally, he said that the situation was embarrassing and uncivilized for both NUEE and the labor movement as a whole.

“There are legitimate ways of expressing displeasure and handling grievances which labour leaders in Osun must employ and settle all existing grievances.

“We call for a truce between the aggrieved members. The union would ensure that the Osun State Council of NLC and all labour leaders in Osun State adhere to her directives,” he stressed.
