The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, has officially confirmed the tragic death of Iya Bisola, a well-known bar operator in Ikirun.
Her lifeless body was discovered at her residence in the Oke-Glo area of the town, and it appears she was strangled to death by unknown assailants on Friday.
The unsettling news was brought to light by a concerned customer, prompting the Command's Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke, to verify the incident and share the sad development with our correspondent on Saturday.
As investigations are underway to unravel the motive behind her assassination, the local community in Oke-Glo is gripped with apprehension.
Kehinde said, “A popular beer parlour vendor, called Iya Bisola, at Station Road, Ikirun, was allegedly strangled to death by an unknown person(s).
“Though the reasons for her assassination are yet to be unraveled, our personnel visited the scene of the incident at Oke-Glo, Ikirun before the corpse was evacuated,”
Residents have gathered at her residence, seeking to confirm the authenticity of her untimely demise.
