Boluwatife Adedokun

A night guard, identified as Ibariba, was brutally murdered at his duty post at a shopping complex along Station Road in Ikirun, Osun State. His lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood on Monday morning.

Eyewitnesses at the scene were reluctant to comment on the incident, fearing potential implications. A shop owner, who chose to remain anonymous, described the grim discovery and reported the incident to the police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The NSCDC Osun Command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed that officers had visited the scene and moved the body to a morgue. An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of death and to apprehend those responsible.
