The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the arrest of several suspects in connection with drug-related crimes across various states in Nigeria.
He was apprehended during a raid on drug joints in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area, and found to be in possession of 1.3kg of suspected Cannabis Sativa and 10 liters of suspected Monkey Tail.
In addition to this, a 46-year-old woman was also arrested in Ugbegun, Esan Central LGA with four liters of suspected Monkey Tail, and a 19-year-old woman was arrested in Ekpoma with various quantities of substances believed to be Colorado, Methamphetamine, and Molly.
Furthermore, a stash of 50kg of suspected cannabis, which was being stored in a bush for distribution, was recovered in Irrua area of the state.
In a separate operation, two suspects were apprehended at Lektop Hotel in Igbeba, Ijebu Ode, Ogun with 39 litres of suspected Skuchies, as well as various quantities of Tramadol and Rophynol. In Imo, a female suspect was intercepted at Orogwe, Owerri North with 70 blocks of suspected cannabis Sativa weighing 30kg.
Finally, in Okitipupa area of Ondo state, a notorious drug dealer, aged 42, was taken into custody after various quantities of substances suspected to be Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Colorado, and Loud were recovered from him.
Another suspect was also arrested in Taraba in connection with the seizure of 10,009 pills of Tramadol. The NDLEA has been working hard to clamp down on drug trafficking and abuse across the country, and these arrests are a clear indication of their commitment to that cause.
