The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has arrested Pius Effiong Eyoh, owner of Pasco Global Limited, for producing, packaging, distributing, and selling a range of low-quality cosmetic products.

A press statement by the NAFDAC on its official Twitter page, @NafdacAgency, said the unlawful activities of the fake cosmetics producer at the Balogun Trade Fair Gate, Trade Fair Complex, in Lagos, were unveiled by the Investigation & Enforcement Directorate of NAFDAC.

Among the inferior products unlawfully produced by the company were items like Skin Balance Perfect Knuckle Organic Peel Therapy and Golden Face Triple Action Concentrated Perfect Skin.

According to the statement, Eyoh was grabbed in the act of making and packaging these cosmetic products with false labels bearing French wording and a Cameroonian address.

The agency’s intervention led to the sealing of the unlawfully produced premises, Eyoh’s apprehension, and the scheduling of his inferior products for destruction.
