Lagos Shuts School Over Four-year-old’s Defilement

Pictures that surfaced on the internet on Wednesday showed that the state Service of Instruction fixed the school

The Lagos State Government on Wednesday shutdown Greater scholars International School in the Ajah region of the state over the debasement of a four-year-old understudy.

The student was supposedly defiled by the school's safety officer, David James, on April 27, 2023 under the appearance of tidying her up.

James has since been summoned for the offense and remanded.

The 23-year-old was summoned before Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi of Judge's Court 1, Ogba, on one count of rape.

The student's folks, Mr and Mrs Olusola, had on May 25, 2023, approached the state government to close down the school.

The guardians settled on the decision in a meeting with PUNCH Metro during a dissent held at the school entryway.

Notices employing concerned people including companions, relatives and delegates of non-legislative associations raged the school and requested equity for the kid while likewise requiring the conclusion of the school.

The casualty's dad, Mr Olusola, invited the improvement saying, "This implies Lagos State Government is working and will make the best decision. The fact that justice will be served makes us happy."

He said the continuous legal dispute would continue on September 4, 2023.
