Lagos Police Arrest Woman for Allegedly Maltreating Female Child

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 32-year-old Funmi Faith for allegedly mistreating a female child.

The incident was brought to public attention when a user on X shared a video seeking help for the maltreated child. The video featured a voice condemning the treatment as “dehumanizing” and appealing to the Lagos State government for intervention.

SP Hundeyin confirmed that Faith was apprehended by officers from the Oke-odo Division on Tuesday. The child has been placed in the care of the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development to ensure proper care and shelter.
