Kwara Ex-deputy governor, Kisira Dies at 74

Former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisira, has passed away at the age of 74, as confirmed by the state government through a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye. 

Kisira, who served as the deputy to the previous governor, Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed, from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019, reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday. 

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed sadness over Kisira's demise, praising his contributions as a public servant and bureaucrat. 

He extended condolences to the people of Baruten and Kisira's family, urging them to find solace in his admirable legacy.

"The former deputy governor will be remembered for his life of commendable public service and dedication to good causes," stated Governor AbdulRazaq.

He emphasized Kisira's significant contributions to the state's civil service, having risen to the rank of permanent secretary. AbdulRazaq concluded his message by expressing solidarity with the people of Baruten and offering support to Kisira's family during this difficult time of loss.
