Kidnappers Abduct Couple Returning from Church in Osun

It is said that police officers and local hunters are searching the forest for the couple and the kidnappers

A man and his wife are said to have been kidnapped on the Osogbo-Iragbiji Road in Osun on Saturday at 4 a.m. as they were returning from a church program. The man and his wife were reportedly riding a motorcycle when they encountered the kidnappers' ambush.

SP Yemisi Opalola, the Osun police spokesperson, confirmed the incident in Osogbo on Monday and promised that the suspects would be pursued by the authorities.

She stated, "Operations are combing the bush in the area, and we assure the public that the victims will be rescued and the criminals will not evade justice."
