Kidnapped Ondo Teenager Regains Freedom

Funmi Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the teen's release but did not specify whether a ransom had been paid.

Adetutu Okinbaloye, a 19-year-old girl, was kidnapped by gunmen in the Imoru Community of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State. She has since been freed from the people who held her captive.

Okinbaloye, as indicated by a family source, was delivered along Ifon-Benin street subsequent to enjoying five days with her abductors.

The kidnappers said that the victim would not be freed until the ransom was paid, and they demanded N10 million as a ransom to free her.

However, the family member who confirmed Okinbaloye's release was unable to confirm whether a ransom had been paid prior to the girl's release.

"I can confirm to you that Adetutu has been released and reunited with her family members," she noted

She said that command detectives are looking for the criminals and that they will be caught soon.

It should be recalled that Adetutu and two other people were taken from her home by seven gunmen, but two of the victims managed to escape.

However, the kidnappers had contacted Okinbaloye's family and demanded N10 million before the victim could regain her freedom.
