Kano Governor reinstate Revenue boss dismissed by Ganduje

The former Executive Chairman of the Kano State Internal Revenue Service, Sani Sambo who was previously removed by Ganduje has been reinstated by Governor Abba Yusuf.

Sambo, who was previously dismissed by the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje, due to corruption allegations, had his suspension overturned and was reinstated on Friday.

The announcement of Sambo's reinstatement was made by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sanusi Tofa. Sambo currently holds the position of senior manager of Tax Audit at the Federal Inland Revenue Service in Abuja and he is a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Taxation, boasting 20 years of experience in tax administration.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in Sambo's capabilities and stressed the importance of promoting transparency and accountability in the government.

He stated, "We believe that Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo is the right person to lead the Kano Internal Revenue Service. His extensive experience and expertise in tax administration will make a significant contribution to our ongoing efforts to enhance revenue generation and overall economic development in the state."
