The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Dr. Adeniran Rahmon Tella noted that, in an effort to ensure more people registered for PVCs than ever before, the commission extended collection of voter cards by one additional week.

Dr. Tella expects that the collection of PVCs will continue until Sunday, February 5, 2023, while the collection time for PVCs has been extended by two hours, starting at 9 am and ending at 5 pm daily—including Saturdays and Sundays.

The REC advised that voters who had registered more than once should not bother visiting any of the 33 INEC LGA offices; as their PVCs were never printed, to ensure that only eligible voters have their registration cards collected, the state commission recently received an additional batch of PVCs.
