Boluwatife Adedokun

A hunter identified as Femi has been found dead with bullet wounds in a forest near Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State. According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, Femi went hunting on Friday with a companion, Taoreed, but did not return.

Concerned over his absence, Femi’s wife reported him missing to the village head, who organized a search party. By Saturday morning, Femi’s body was discovered in the forest, showing bullet wounds on his back, with his hunting rifle nearby.

Efforts to locate Taoreed, who went hunting with Femi, have been unsuccessful. Authorities discovered that Taoreed, along with his wife and children, had left the village unexpectedly. The police have since launched an investigation, and Femi’s body has been sent to the State Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for autopsy.
