Five students from the Enugu State College of Health Technology in the Oji River Local Government Area have been abducted by gunmen. According to information obtained by our reporters, the incident happened last Thursday night when students were leaving the school premises.

In a statement released on Sunday, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the public relations officer for the Enugu State Police Command, confirmed the incident and clarified that rumours suggesting that several students had been abducted were false and misleading.

According to DSP Ndukwe, the police were able to rescue two of the kidnapped students after acting swiftly upon receiving a tip about the incident. He however said that three other students remain missing,

He assured that a vigorous operation had been launched to rescue the remaining victims and arrest the kidnappers.
