Gunmen Assassinate Traditional Ruler in Taraba

Police revealed that the killers invaded the palace of Jankada of Sansani by 22:00 on Thursday night.

Gunmen suspected to be assassins have murdered the Chief of Sansani, Alhaji Abdulmutallib Nuhu, in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State on Thursday night.

This Assistant Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Kwache Gambo, disclosed through a telephone interview that criminals in their numbers stormed the home of the monarch and shot him dead without requesting anything.

Gambo affirmed that the killers invaded the palace of Jankada of Sansani by 22:00 hrs Thursday night.

Gambo stated that empty shells of ammunition were found in the palace, and no apprehension has been made so far.

She also revealed that investigations into the killing have begun to unmask the assassins.
