Daniel Ogoshi, the official driver to the Nasarawa state deputy governor (Dr. Emmanuel Akabe), was Abducted by gunmen from his friend’s house around 9:30pm at Ombi 2, College of Agric, Kwandere Road, Lafia. Information gathered says he was kidnapped leaving his phone and car behind.

According to a family friend, he noted that he received a call at 9 pm concerning the Abduction of his brother by the Kidnappers

The Nation reported that his family friend called the attention of the police who resushed to the scene of the incident but the Kidnappers had already left with the victim.

However, Emmanuel Eyima, the media officer to the Deputy Governor, also confirmed the incident, noting that he was informed about the situation but did not have enough information on what had come to light.

Also, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer of Nasarawa State Police command, equally confirmed the incident, saying that the police were investigating the matter.

Eyima, stated that he would not comment further concerning the incident until proper investigation had been done.

Report says the rate of Kidnapping in the state rise recently. Noting that Prof Onje Gye-Wado, former deputy governor of the state was equally abdicated lately and released when N4m ransom was paid to the Kidnappers.
