The public authority of Ondo says the central government has endorsed the foundation of a profound seaport in the state.

The government chief gathering (FEC) gave endorsement for the working permit of the port, at a gathering managed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja.

As indicated by a proclamation by Olatunde Richard, boss press secretary to Akeredolu, a reminder was introduced by the service of transportation through Mu'azu Sambo, priest of transportation.

Richard added that the endorsement came following quite a while of endeavors by the "Ondo state government to lay out a profound seaport — first at Olokola — which neglected to emerge starting around 2004".

"The endeavors were reestablished by lead representative Oluwarotimi Akeredolu upon his presumption of office as lead representative in 2017 and became escalated upon the arrangement of an indigene of Ondo state, sovereign Ademola Adegoroye, as pastor of state in the government service of transportation in July 2022, pretty much 10 months prior," the assertion peruses.

"With a series of due diligence undertaken by both the state and federal governments, Akeredolu had submitted the proposal for the establishment of the port to the federal government."
